January 25 – Ethiopian Airlines Flight 409, a Boeing 737-800, crashes into the Mediterranean Sea shortly after take-off from Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport; the flight was heading to the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa; all 90 people on-board perish.
February 11 – Trigana Air Service Flight 168, an ATR 42-300, crash lands in a field near Balikpapan, Indonesia; all 56 survive with 2 suffering broken legs.
March 22 - Aviastar-TU Flight 1906, a Tupolev Tu-204, crashes on landing at Domodedovo International Airport in foggy weather, all 8 crew on board survive, but the aircraft is written off; this is the first loss of the Tu-204.
April 13 – Cathay Pacific Airways Flight 780, an Airbus A330-300, suffers a double engine failure on approach to Hong Kong International Airport; all 322 people on board survive, with 57 sustaining minor injuries, 3 seriously; 6 tires burst as the aircraft touches down hard on the runway at 230 knots (430 km/h).
April 13 – Merpati Nusantara Airlines Flight 836, a Boeing 737-300, overruns the runway at Rendani Airport in Indonesia; all 103 people on board survive, with 23 injured, three of them seriously.
May 12 – Afriqiyah Airways Flight 771, an Airbus A330, crashes on landing at Tripoli International Airport, killing 103 on board; the sole survivor is a child from the Netherlands.
May 15 – A Blue Wing Airlines Antonov An-28 crashes at Poeketi, Suriname, after it flies into bad weather just minutes after take-off. Radio contact with the flight is lost and another Blue Wing Airlines aircraft spots the wreckage of the plane shortly after; 6 passengers and 2 crew perish in the accident.
May 17 – Pamir Airways Flight 112, an Antonov An-24 with 38 passengers and 5 crew, disappears from radar 10 minutes after takeoff from Kunduz Airport in Afghanistan.
May 22 – Air India Express Flight 812, a Boeing 737-800, crashes at Mangalore International Airport after overshooting the runway with 160 passengers and 6 crew members on board. A total of 158 people are killed with just 8 survivors.
July 27 – Lufthansa Cargo Flight 8460, a McDonnell Douglas MD-11 freighter, catches fire and breaks in half as it lands at King Khalid International Airport, injuring the German pilot and co-pilot.
July 28 – Airblue Flight 202, an Airbus A321, crashes into a hill in the Margalla Hills north-east of Islamabad apparently due to bad weather resulting in 146 passengers and 6 crew members perished. It is the first fatal accident involving an Airbus A321 and Pakistan's worst air disaster.
August 3 – Katekavia Flight 9357, an Antonov An-24 crashes on approach to Igarka Airport, Russia, killing twelve people.
August 16 - AIRES Flight 8250, a Boeing 737-700 splits in three after being hit by lightning while landing at Gustavo Rojas Pinilla Airport, San Andrés, Colombia. Out of the 125 passengers and 6 crew members on board, two passengers died and 113 were injured.
August 24 - Agni Air Flight 101, a Dornier Do 228, crashes outside of Kathmandu, Nepal in heavy rain, killing all 14 people on board.
August 24 - Henan Airlines Flight 8387, an Embraer E-190, overruns the runway and crashes at Lindu Airport, Yichun, Heilongjiang, northeast China, causing 43 fatalities from 91 passengers and 5 crew members; this is the first hull loss of an Embraer E-Jet.
August 25 - A Filair Let L-410 Turbolet crashes while on approach to Bandundu Airport, Democratic Republic of the Congo; of the 21 on board, only one person survives.
September 3 - UPS Airlines Flight 6, a Boeing 747-400, crashed at a military base shortly after take-off from Dubai International Airport, killing both of the two crew.
September 7 - Alrosa Mirny Air Enterprise Flight 514, a Tupolev Tu-154M, suffers electrical failure and makes an emergency landing at Izhma Airport; while landing, the aircraft overruns the runway and is written off; all 81 passengers and crew survive.
September 13 - Conviasa Flight 2350, an ATR-42, crashed shortly before landing in Ciudad Guayana, killing 15 of the 51 people on board.
November 4 - Aero Caribbean Flight 883, an ATR-72-212, crashes in Sancti Spíritus, Cuba killing all 68 on board in the worst ever accident involving the ATR 72.
November 4 - Qantas Flight 32, an Airbus A380 "Nancy-Bird Walton" VH-OQA, suffered a serious failure of its left inboard engine after taking off from Singapore Changi Airport. The flight turned back and landed safely. All the 433 passengers and 26 crew on board were safe. Cowling parts of the failed engine fell over Batam island.
November 5 - A chartered JS Air Beechcraft 1900 crashes near Karachi almost immediately after takeoff, killing all 21 passengers on board.
November 11 - A Tarco Airlines Antonov An-24 crashes on landing at Zalingei Airport, Sudan, killing 6 of 44 on board.
November 28 - Sun Way Flight 4412, an Ilyushin Il-76TD, suffers an engine fire and crashes near Jinnah International Airport, killing all 8 crew on board and another 4 on the ground.
December 4 - South East Airlines Flight 372, a Tu-154, skids off the runway at Russia's Domodedovo International Airport, killing two of the 160 passengers on board.
December 15 - Tara Air Twin Otter (9N AFX- DHC6) crashed minutes after it took off from Lamidanda Airport some 100 miles east of Kathmandu, Nepal. All 22 people on board, including 3 crew members, perished.

Hmmm, misschien moet ik dat eens gaan uitvogelen vandaag. Heb dat buggygedeelte wel van zolder gehaald. Volgens mij kan ik het ook nog twee kanten op zetten (naar me toe en vooruit), maar ik weet eigenlijk niet of het ook omlaag kan. Doperwtje kan echt nog niet zelf zitten, maar wel een beetje hangen

Is wel heel gezellig, dat je Doperwtje met zijn gezicht naar je toe kan zetten. Lekker samen kletsen. Voor hem ook fijn dat jij in zijn gezichtsveld bent. Alle buggydingesen kunnen wel schuin hoor Erwt. Alleen sommige niet helemaal plat. Maar schuin liggen en wat meer kunnen zien van de wereld is wel fijn.

Ja, dat bedacht ik me ook net: dat naar me toe wel leuk is misschien. Doperwtje vindt het de laatste twee weken ook leuk om op schoot te zitten en meer te zien, dus wat dat betreft is het wel handig misschien. Én dat ding neemt dan misschien iets minder ruimte in de schuur in
Ik zal het zo toch eens even gaan uitvogelen, ben nu eigenlijk wel benieuwd. Heb alleen niet zo'n voetenzak, bedenk ik me nu? Zou dat Heel Erg Nodig zijn? Of kan ik 'm ook gewoon lekker in een fleecedekentje inpakken?
Ik zal het zo toch eens even gaan uitvogelen, ben nu eigenlijk wel benieuwd. Heb alleen niet zo'n voetenzak, bedenk ik me nu? Zou dat Heel Erg Nodig zijn? Of kan ik 'm ook gewoon lekker in een fleecedekentje inpakken?
