Nee. Een vrouw of man die heel haar of zijn handen vol heeft met tatoeages, vind ik ook niet mooi. Dus of het nou met henna getekend is of met een tatoeagenaald, ik vind het afschuwelijk, van die volgekladde handen.

Ik vind het ook prachtig. Ooit een keer ( gelukkig een kleine) laten zetten. Zwolle die nacht helemaal op en heb uren uren zitten krabben tot de henna eraf was. Je vroeg of het een betekenis heeft. Je kan op werkelijk waar elk woord in die tekst klikken om meer over de traditie/ceremonie te lezen, maar het interesseert je gewoon geen reet, wees dan eerlijk.

Grut die jongen van Miley lijkt bijna een letterlijke kopie van haar vader! Dacht daarnet echt even dat die leuk ogende knappe jongen versneld naar oud, langbaardig en dikkig was gegroeid.

Ohw en het is zeker echt ernstig als er nog steeds geen belletje gaat rinkelen? Behalve dan dat ik Thor vanzelfsprekend uit mythologische verhalen ken. Excuus alvast en ik vind dit namelijk een ongelofelijk leuk topic om te volgen, leuke plaatjes en kletsverhalen lezen. Maar ik kan verder dan dat weinig bijdragen. Nu viel me alleen de gelijkenis op.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, the celebrity couple whose whirlwind romance just got its own Vogue cover, are reportedly getting married this weekend.
It's set to be an opulent and traditional affair, with both Christian and Hindu wedding ceremonies taking place at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India. The pre-wedding rituals are already taking place, and the countdown is on until we see Chopra's complete wedding look, which is likely to include an intricate henna design along Chopra's hands, arms, and maybe even feet and legs as is tradition for Indian brides.
According to henna artist Natalia Zamparini, the application of the henna tattoo at the Mehndi ceremony (which typically takes place in the days before the nuptials) can take upwards of 10 hours. The ceremony is a time when the bride can relax with her loved ones. "The process of giving and receiving henna as part of the wedding ceremony affords the bride time to connect with those around her, to be held, to be touched," Mangala Bühler-Rose, a New York City-based henna artist, says. "She has the opportunity to be adorned." Zamparini agrees, “The way we use makeup and jewelry now, this is one of the most ancient forms of that."
And with each symbol and design the henna artist applies, there is meaning. As these artists explained, specific symbols packed inside the henna symbolize different things, from strength to protection to even what the bride could want for her future. A flower in Chopra's henna is more than just a flower, for example, but a sign that she wants beauty and growth in her life going forward.
As we wait to find out what henna design Chopra will choose for herself, we consulted with henna artists to get the rundown on the most likely symbols we could see, and what they traditionally mean, ahead.

Peacocks
Peacocks are readily found on the hands and arms of brides on their wedding day. Of course, the birds have beautiful feathers, but there's plenty of meaning behind their presence, too. "Peacocks symbolize love and beauty," Bühler-Rose says. "Peacocks are also known to kill snakes, and so they're seen as something that represents both power and protection for the bride."

Paisleys
Paisley, which you can see on this woman's left wrist, is actually a pattern inspired by the shape of mangoes — yes, like the fruit. According to Bühler-Rose, in Indian culture, mangoes have long symbolized fertility because of the seeds they pack inside, making it an essential design element in henna for a bride on her wedding day.
Flowers
Naturally, flowers are common in bridal henna designs as they represent beauty and growth, with lotuses being particularly meaningful because they symbolize the awakening of the human soul and grace, according to Zamparini.
Leaves & Vines
Usually weaved in with flowers, various kinds of leaves and vines symbolize devotion and perseverance, says Zamparini, making it ideal for a bride.
Mandalas
Though at first glance they look like flowers, symmetrical mandalas (seen here on the palms) are powerful symbols in Indian culture, signifying prosperity, wealth, success, and courage, which is why they're frequently drawn onto the hands and feet of brides before their weddings.
They also help incorporate circles into the henna design, which adds even more meaning, explains Bühler-Rose. "The circle designs would represent this idea of strength, totality, eternity," Bühler-Rose says. "This idea of something beginning and an endless loop."
Ganesha
Since Chopra and Jonas are set to take part in a traditional Hindu ceremony this weekend, religious iconography could appear in Chopra's henna. Bühler-Rose says it's popular among Hindu brides to incorporate the Hindu god Ganesha, who is most commonly illustrated with an elephant head and revered as a remover of obstacles. You can see Ganesha in this henna design at the very top of the arm.
A Skyline
Given that the purpose of henna at a wedding is to symbolize the love this couple has, it's common to see tiny details of the couple's love story in the henna as well. Zamparini says that couples have started to incorporate the skyline of certain important cities in their relationship into their henna. Chopra and Jonas had their first date in New York City, so we could get a New York skyline. Here, the bride chose a skyline inspired by Disney World.
Nick Jonas' Initials
Though the design of any henna is up to both the bride and the henna artist, there is one feature you're certain to see in Chopra's henna this weekend. That is, if you squint hard enough.
The henna a bride wears on her wedding day almost always features the initials of the groom. However, the initials are always quite small and difficult to spot, because there's a custom that on the wedding day, the groom has to find the initials. If he can't, tradition says that the bride has the upper hand throughout their marriage.

Ik denk eerder dat Coos gewoon een afkorting van haar tweede naam Cornelia is.
