Urgent: H** texts XX. Now what?

I've been reading this forum for quite some time now, but it's the first time I'm actually posting something. (Oh, and I'm sorry I'm writing this in English - I'm so upset and I simply can't express how angry I am in a language that is not my own.)
So I have a SERIOUS problem. My husband just received this text from a woman I don't know. There've been some relationship issues in the past, so we agreed that I would read all his incoming texts. Just to rule out the possibility of him cheating again. He says he loves me but I can't forget this one time he broke my heart (although, it turned out that it wasn't exactly one time, but that's not the point here). Anyways, this Dutch woman sends him a text, I can't quite remember the exact words, but it contained two X-es. Not just one, two!!! I obviously got upset with her, called her, told her the truth (that she's a h**), and texted her that she's dead. She never replied to any of my text, so chances are that she's really scared (or really dead, but c'mon, even I don't believe that). She ruined my Christmas, and my kids' Christmas too!
And I don't know what to do. We just had Christmas dinner and I tried not to think of it. My husband doesn't know - I deleted the text as soon as I saw it, and I don't want him to know either. But keeping up appearances is so hard and I'm pretty desperate. I'd appreciate any advice! Please!?

Serious advice? Don't make such a fuss over nothing and concentrate on what really matters. This is not helping your mariage in any way shape or form. By reacting like this, you will make things worse.
You are making yourself look like a total idiot by sending rude text messages and by phoning this lady who probably had nothing to do with your husband cheating on you and just sent him (and many others) a Merry Xmas wish.
I'm afraid this is not the advice that you'll want to hear.
And I still think this whole thing is a hoax.

I just don't get it! Why would I make fun of my own misery?
Of course I respond seriously - I'm a professor! Plus, when it comes to my husband, I am always alert.
You can't truly think I look like a complete idiot? Are you saying I should simply accept those texts? That's downright insulting! How could someone even think of accepting such rude behaviour?

Honey, I've spent a fair time with a cheat like your husband and I learned a couple of things about it. Aside from the fact that his 'guilt trips' made me decide that I rather take a trip to a foreign country than once more with a cheat like him, I know that the majority of wives complain but accept. Miss Cheated always said that the next one would be it and believe me, after me he had another three (or so) and they are still together. Which means that the women condone it, just like you. I mean, he cheated on you, you freak out with an innocent text message from Minny. What the **** do you want? This is reality biting you, my dear! He'll be cheating on you forever! Now, either accept it (and for crying out loud have safe sex for the rest of your life with this loser) or get a grip and make a good New Year's Resolution and kick his sorry ass out.
And leave Minny alone.

Cool. Geewizz. Your husband cheats on you. A friend of his sends him a totally innocent message that drives you mad. Since she probably had nothing to do with his cheating on you, I can imagine she has no idea.
And now this spineless git just texts her that she must f*ck off??? If he had any manners, he would explain the situation (or at least that you two were having problems) and ask her to skip the XX in the future because you find it offensive.
Want to bet he sent her another one later to explain?
